Description
Inger Persson was one of the brightest female design stars at Rörstrand.
She studied at Konstfack with several well-known artists as teachers, including Gustavsberg's Mr Stig Lindberg, whose objects will also be exhibited in the summer of 2025. In 1959, she joined Rörstrand aged just 22. There she belonged to a new youthful generation of craftsmen who wanted to create unconventional objects with a lot of humour. Personalised craftsmanship with warmth and heart took place at the factory.
In 1971 she lost her job in a major layoff but made a successful return in the mid-1980s when, in the wake of the economic boom, the factory invested in artistic renewal and large-format art objects.
This summer's exhibition on the forecourt is a little caramel that vibrates with colour and ceramic creativity.
