Läckö Castle is located on Kållandsö in Lidköping municipality in Västergötland. The castle is located on a headland in the Ekens Archipelago in Lake Vänern and is a memory from Sweden's time of great power. In the Middle Ages it belonged to the Bishops of Skara and was handed over to the De la Gardie family as a county in 1615.

Läckö Castle stands on a cliff beside Lake Vänern, enticing you with its Baroque splendour, sensuous gardens, shining treasures and ancient medieval vaults. Läckö Castle, best known as the fabulous De la Gardie Castle on the shores of Lake Vänern, has medieval origins.

Victoriahuset, naturum Vänerskärgården and Hvita Hjorten... many names circulate when this building is mentioned. The building is called naturum Vänerskärgården - Victoriahuset. It houses a nature centre with an exhibition about the Väner Archipelago and Djurö National Park.
