Friends of Läckö
The purpose of the Friends Association is to support the activities at Läckö Castle through grants for various clearly defined projects. The association's members act as ambassadors and spread positive information about the castle and the many successful activities there. In 2019, the association passed 1000 members, during the corona pandemic the number of members has since decreased but we hope to be over 1000 members again soon. Join the community around Läckö Castle you too!

New study circle:
Sweden in the age of great power
- Language, piety and the squire De la Gardie
Based on the De la Gardie family's time and world of thought, we take a look at life in Sweden during the Great Power era in general - and Läckö and other estates in particular.
12/11 - Languages
24/11 - The piety
8/12 - Godsen
The study circle draws its inspiration from two recently published books by researchers from Sweden, Germany and the UK, as well as a digital article from Skaraborgsakademien.
The study circle is an independent continuation of the study circle Mary Euphrosyne 400 years. The course literature can be ordered in the Skara Diocesan Historical Society's web shop.
The study circle is organised by Studieförbundet Vuxenskolan in collaboration with Föreningen Läckö Vänner. Cost: 200,-
A registration link from the Adult Education Centre will follow. Register your interest to Helena Långström Schön via email for now.
Travelling
This year's excursions went to the Veterinary Museum in Skara and to Husaby. The autumn trip went around Lake Vättern in the footsteps of Gnosspelii.
We'll be back with trips and excursions for 2026!
The project
Presentation of feasibility study 2023 and 2024 on new cycle path to Läckö
For two years, Läckö Vänner has led a feasibility study together with Kållandsöföreningen regarding a cycle path to Läckö. The Grevillis Fund has contributed funds to the feasibility study.
The currently proposed route passes 18 developable visitor destinations. The municipality of Lidköping is proposed to be the principal for Läcköleden.
- "Throughout the work, we have been met with great and positive commitment locally from residents, interest groups and the appointed steering group together with other partners. This has been a crucial success factor for the project," says Carl Henrik Ohlsson, who has led the project.
