The guides at Läckö Castle and Naturum Vänerskärgården will welcome you and your class and give you the opportunity to experience the exciting natural and cultural history on site. Take part in educational programmes that arouse interest in the era of the Great Powers, curiosity about the Lake Vänern Archipelago and hope for the future.

School programmes

At naturum Vänerskärgården - Victoriahuset we are happy to welcome school classes. The exhibition in the nature centre and the proximity to the shoreline create perfect conditions for learning more about the Lake Vänern Archipelago and its inhabitants.

We offer school programmes for pupils from pre-school through to upper secondary school. Click on the button below to read more about the projects for each grade.

Take the opportunity to visit Läckö Castle with your group. The castle guides adapt their guided tour to the age of the students.

Advanced training for teachers

If you and your teaching team are interested in visiting the Läckö area during an in-service training day, the nature centre manager can provide an inspirational guided tour and/or in-depth study of topics relating to Lake Vänern, sustainable development and geology.

As several primary school classes visit us in the spring, it is easiest to book this programme from 12.00 on weekdays.

Contact the naturum manager - Sofia Wennberg - for more information. Sofia has a PhD in Historical Geology and Palaeontology and has worked with school classes at the Vänermuseet in Lidköping and at the Vänerskärgården nature centre for 14 and 11 years respectively.
