Exhibitions at Läckö Castle
Läckö Castle is not only a majestic summer palace from the time of the Swedish Empire, but also a vibrant cultural centre with a rich tradition of exhibitions. For decades, our halls and castle rooms have been transformed into galleries, theatres and themed rooms where history, art and culture are woven together in a captivating mix. Explore our diverse range of exhibitions and join us on a journey back in time.

Exhibitions of the year 2025
In the summer of 2025, Läckö Castle invites you to four unique exhibitions that celebrate art, design and creativity. Every year we present new and exciting exhibitions in the historic setting of the castle, with the aim of creating an unforgettable experience for our visitors. Our exhibitions vary from year to year and are carefully selected to inspire and open doors to both our own and other cultures' history and creativity.
From popular artists to the discovery of forgotten treasures, we aim to offer a varied programme that engages all generations.
This year's theme at the castle combines world-class design and craftsmanship, where visitors will meet three outstanding artists and designers. From Stig Lindberg's timeless design, Inger Persson's playful ceramics and Cecilia Jansson's thought-provoking sculptures - there is something for everyone to discover.
In the exhibition at naturum, we gain insights into the life of Swedish bugs through John Hallmén's pictures in Arthropoda.
Welcome to a summer full of art, history, nature and creativity at Läckö Castle!

PREVIOUS Exhibitions
Wonderland by Kirsty Mitchell
A world of fantasy and dreams in Kirsty Mitchell's exhibition "Wonderland". From 8 June to 15 September, the fourth floor of Läckö Castle was transformed into a storybook without words. The exhibition featured photographs with handmade props, and models in scenes from the English countryside. The exhibition is a tribute to Mitchell's mother, drawing inspiration from old fairy tale illustrations, childhood memories, adult grief and spiritual connections to nature.
