Afternoon tea and ton

Welcome to an afternoon where music, flavours and surroundings come together in an unexpected but natural harmony. When Bachjazz takes place in the Kungssalen, the room is transformed into a lively tea room filled with music, aromas and tranquil energy.

Bachjazz is the meeting of two beloved musical worlds – Johann Sebastian Bach's timeless compositions and the free expression of jazz. In the Bachjazz trio, with Emil Carlsson Rinstad, Magnus Bergström and Ola Winkler, they merge into something new and organic. The result is music that is both familiar and surprising, where baroque structures meet improvisation and Nordic sound.

Their acclaimed interpretations have received widespread attention. Dagens Nyheter's Po Tidholm named the album Jazz of the month and described how Bach suddenly sounds like a Nordic composer, where fugues take on the character of folk songs.

During the concert, the audience is seated at round tables in the King's Hall, set with our own afternoon tea. Homemade scones, cheese, butter, jams, cream cheese, croissants and petit fours such as macarons, truffles and other pastries await you on the buffet table. Our waiters will be happy to help you choose a tea from the generous tea buffet. The experience begins at 14.00 in the King's Hall, where you will be welcomed with a small musical teaser before enjoying the buffet in peace and quiet.

This is an experience that invites you to settle down, enjoy both flavour and atmosphere in one of Läckö Castle's most atmospheric environments. During this period, the castle can be a little cooler, so we recommend warm clothing for an extra cosy experience in our historic surroundings.
