Together with a naturum guide from naturum Vänerskärgården, we go out to Djurö National Park and explore the island up close. We gather at the naturum in the morning at 8.45 and then it's off to the sea. The journey to Djurö takes about two hours. Once there, we walk and stop where there is something interesting to tell. The guided tour includes plant and animal life as well as geology, as well as stories about the people who lived out here and changed the landscape to what we see today. Back at the mainland around 5 pm depending on weather and wind.
The walk takes place along nature trails in varied terrain - forest landscapes, cliffs and along meadows. The guided tour takes about 3 hours. The hike is about 4 km long.We have coffee when we arrive in the national park and then stop for lunch along the way. Bring your own packed lunch. Everyone carries their own pack.
What to take with you?
Own packed lunch (coffee + lunch), don't forget water bottle and some snacks along the way.
Dress for the weather - it can change.
Warm jumper & rainwear for the boat. Good shoes.
Your own roll of paper for the dry ice.
