Spring excursion to Skara 10 May

Veterinary services 250 years

In the first week of May, Sweden celebrates the 250th anniversary of the return of the Linnaeus disciple Peter Hernqvist from his studies in France and the establishment of the country's first veterinary school in Skara. We contribute to this celebration by visiting the Veterinary Museum. Own car is parked at Skara animal hospital. Max 50 people, Cost 90 SEK/person. Bring your own coffee. A thousand years in Husaby Pentecost Day at 11.00

Excursion to Husaby 8 June at 11.00
This year marks 25 years since the Church of Sweden celebrated a thousand years of faith in Husaby. At the millennium altar, you can join in singing Tones from a Spring and participate in the mass. Officiant is Åke Bonnier. Archaeologist Anna Thorsson will talk about exciting finds. No registration, some cost is taken on site. Questions to Håkan Ekesbo 0702-777199. Autumn trip around Lake Vättern in the footsteps of Gnosspelii 6-7 September

Many members have requested shorter autumn trips. This year's trip will therefore be to Vadstena and Torpa Stenhus.
Except for occasional buffets, we will have a chicken-free meal. NOTE! Members living outside Skaraborg can join part of the trip.

Saturday 6 September
Departure Lidköping 07.00, Skara 07.30.Coffee with information at Olshammars farm, lunch in Vadstena. Tour of the abbey church, abbey museum and Vadstena castle. Later in the afternoon, CEO Catarina Gnosspelius shows us the Vadstena Academy and the theatre. Accommodation in the different parts of the monastery hotel. Joint dinner in the evening.

Sunday 7 September
After breakfast at the hotel, we head south
out towards Torpa Stenhus for viewing in the afternoon. If the weather permits, there will be a stop at Brahehus. Lunch at Ulricehamn. Return Skara-Lidköping at about 18.

Cost and registration
Cost: 3 950 SEK/person in double room, single room supplement 1 200 SEK.
